Pakistan has revised fuel prices once again, with petrol becoming more expensive while high speed diesel gets a small cut.
Effective from October 8, petrol will rise by Rs 1.82 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 396.65 per litre. High speed diesel will become cheaper by Re 0.91 per litre and will now sell at Rs 394.94 per litre.
The split decision means petrol motorists will pay more at the pump, while diesel consumers will see a slight reduction in their fuel expenses. The changes come as fuel prices continue to be revised in line with prevailing market conditions, with each review moving prices in response to the market.
For households that rely on petrol for daily travel, the increase adds to everyday transport costs. For businesses that depend on diesel for transport and logistics, the small cut offers modest relief in operating expenses.
The new rates will remain applicable from October 8, giving consumers and businesses a fresh change in their transportation and operating costs.
