Geely Gears Up to Enter Pakistan With EX2 and EX5 Electric Models

China's Geely is preparing to enter Pakistan's electric vehicle market with two models, the EX2 hatchback and the EX5 electric SUV, in partnership with Bestway Group as its authorised distributor. The vehicles are expected to arrive initially as completely built units rather than being assembled locally. Bestway had earlier targeted the third quarter of 2026 for the launch, but the company has not confirmed a launch date, local prices or final specifications. Recent images of both vehicles in Pakistan suggest preparations are already underway. The EX2 is a compact electric hatchback, while the EX5 is positioned as a larger electric SUV. Geely reports that the EX2 sold 465,775 units globally in 2025 and crossed 500,000 deliveries within 14 months of its launch in China, giving the model a strong track record as it heads to new markets. Bestway has indicated that bookings for the new Geely vehicles are expected before the end of 2026, though prices and Pakistan specific equipment remain unconfirmed. The entry of another major global player would add fresh momentum to Pakistan's growing electric vehicle segment, where buyers are increasingly weighing running costs and charging convenience against conventional fuel options.
