Nishat Group is taking a different path on pricing as Pakistan's auto market adjusts to new taxes. The JAECOO J7 Premium has received a PKR 500,000 price reduction, bringing its ex factory price down from PKR 10,499,000 to PKR 9,999,000, effective September 14, 2026. That restores the price announced at the model's launch in November 2025, keeping it competitive in its segment. For the JAECOO J5 hybrid, existing prices will stay intact till September 30, 2026, applying to both previous and new orders. Customers who have already booked the J5, or who book before October 1, can secure the current price by clearing their full balance by September 30. The move comes after a government SRO updated the general sales tax on hybrid electric vehicles from 8.5 percent to 18 percent, prompting most players in the segment to revise prices upward. Behind OMODA and JAECOO in Pakistan is NexGen Auto, backed by the wider Nishat Group, whose interests span textiles, banking, cement, dairy and power. The brand has crossed the 10,000 vehicle milestone since entering the market and is building its dealership and after sales infrastructure to support customers beyond the initial sale.
