Pakistan and India could face each other as many as three times at the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup under the tournament's new format. The two rivals have been placed in Group A alongside Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier. Their group stage meeting is scheduled for October 10 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The event will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The top three teams from each group, along with the better performing fourth placed team, will move into the Super 7 stage. Pakistan and India have already been assigned the A3 and A1 positions in the Super 7 seeding system. If both qualify, they are scheduled to meet again on November 7 in Cape Town. A third meeting could follow if both reach the semi finals and are drawn against each other. The top four teams from the Super 7 will advance to the knockout stage, with the semi finals set for November 17 and 18. The tournament begins on October 2, 2027, and the final is scheduled for November 21 in Johannesburg.
