Trump Crashes Nvidia Chief’s Live Interview to Declare Robots Will Not Take Over

US President Donald Trump made a surprise appearance during a live interview with Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang at the All In Summit in Los Angeles, turning a technology discussion into an unexpected presidential moment. Huang placed Trump on speakerphone during the session, giving the president an opening to address concerns about the rapid development of artificial intelligence.

Trump dismissed fears that increasingly advanced AI systems could eventually take control of the world, describing such warnings as a hoax. He reassured the audience that the robots will not be taking over.

The remarks arrive as debate continues across the technology industry over how quickly artificial intelligence should advance and what safeguards should be introduced to manage potential risks. Several technology figures have called for greater caution as AI systems become more capable and are used across more sectors.

Trump, however, has generally favoured rapid AI development, stressing the importance of maintaining the technological advantage of the United States. He has argued that excessive restrictions or delays could allow competing countries to move ahead in a sector that is becoming increasingly important to economic and national interests.

Huang's decision to bring Trump into the conversation added an unexpected political dimension to the summit, which gathered prominent figures from the technology and investment sectors. The exchange highlighted the continuing divide over AI policy, with concerns about long term risks set against the push for faster innovation and global technological competition.
